summer finale

so with this shoot, i think summer is officially over. i was excited to receive this call b/c it wasn't a typical request for a family portrait shoot, i made sure i could squeeze them in before the leaves started to change. they wanted me to take photos of them playing in their wonderful back yard complete with a waterfall and swimming pool! i had a great time and it was fun to change it up a bit!

freshie

i once heard someone refer to a newborn as a "freshie" and i thought to myself how apropos that was. they are so new and fresh to the world, their skin, breath, touch... i think my favorite time is those first days back from the hospital. nothing else matters except for what's going on in your home with your very own lil' freshie.

hats and horses

i spent my sunday enjoying a day out at the spokane polo field documenting the 3rd annual fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House. what a day and what an event.... it was most enjoyable! there was so much eye candy. the food, the horses, the hats!! it is truly a unique event, one that i suggest you attend next year. anything benefiting the lives of children who are in need is worth all this effort. polo is quite the game i might add! i am overly impressed with the men and women who can tackle such a sport, i can't imagine the coordination, strength, and athleticism that it requires. i am so happy i could be a part of such a wonderful and lovely day!

blue wall, blue eyes, blonde hair

last week, i parked by this blue wall next to my daughters ballet class and said to my friend, amy, "that would be a great place for a photo". so today i brought my camera to ballet class and had some fun with maeve and her friends katie and isabella. oh, and can't forget thomas! he was mostly getting into trouble and finding the dirt to roll around in.

two toes

yet another beautiful family! i had a moment during this shoot when i jumped up and down because the light was so good and things were clicking! i think this cutie was just making sure she had her two big toes! kids give me such great material!!

boy and girl

had a great shoot with one of my favorite families. the schlegel's welcomed baby boy stephen and baby girl jane into their family and i had the pleasure of photographing the twins a few weeks ago. here's a few good ones.
